Sedona is a town located in the central region of the U.S. state of Arizona. Sedona is approximately 190 kilometers north of Phoenix. The nearest major airport is in Phoenix too. One can then travel to Sedona from Phoenix by car.

Sedona is known for its stunning array of red sandstone formations called the Red Rocks of Sedona. The red rock landscape is visible from anywhere in town. The rock formation glows in orange and red during sunrise and sunset, forming a breathtaking backdrop for Sedona. There are hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails in Sedona. Some notable hike trails here are Broken Arrow, Bell Rock, Soldier’s Pass, Devil’s Bridge and Oak Creek Crossing. Try the steeper Cathedral Rock if you look for a more challenging task. Besides, be sure to pay a visit to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a Roman Catholic chapel built into the red rock formation.
